A person was fatally struck by an Amtrak train Friday evening near West Haven, Amtrak officials say.

Train 178 was delayed around two hours following the incident.

Delays were reported on the Metro-North because the trains used the same tracks.

The victim's identity has not been released. 

Another person was struck by a Metro-North train in the Bronx.

There is no word on that person's condition.
