Mother’s Day is Sunday, and that means local Connecticut businesses are preparing for things to get very busy. All this amid of supply chain issues.
Michele’s Pies in Norwalk is trying to get ahead of the curve. The local bakery has been in business for over 14 years and the owner, Stephen Jarrett, tells News 12 they've never experienced so many varying prices for items.
He says the prices of items like flour, milk, eggs, and other dairy products are constantly fluctuating and sometimes hard to find.
"They'll be in stock at one price one day and next week you could see a 25 percent increase," added Jarrett.
Despite the difficult circumstance, they believe it's a labor of love to get their best products in front of their customers.
Michele's Pies will be open until 6:30 p.m. Saturday and will be open Sunday for last minute pickups.
