Middlesex County fire lieutenant killed after responding to accident on NJ Turnpike

A Middlesex County fire lieutenant is dead reportedly after responding to an overturned tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike.

A Middlesex County fire lieutenant is dead reportedly after responding to an overturned tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike.       
Lt. Donald Trout served with the Middlesex County Hazmat Unit for nearly 20 years.
He and other firefighters were called to the truck lanes of the Turnpike Friday morning when the truck hauling paint rolled over and spilled.
Trout was also a member of the county's Firefighter's Association.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years and their two children.
Visitation is scheduled at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home in Perth Amboy on Wednesday between 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
