Milford residents broke out their shovels and snowblowers Tuesday following a major snowstorm that left a foot of snow in most areas.
Monday's nor'easter left more than 14 inches of snow on the ground in Milford. Residents spent the day outside, where they had their work cut out for them.
"Usually in a snowstorm, I'll come out and do a little bit, so you get that top layer off. But the wind. I knew I wouldn't last more than 10, 15 minutes," Milford resident Pearl says.
Pearl says she's turning 70 this year, and she's very thankful for her snowblower.
Not every shoveler shared that assessment.
"I don't know how it was yesterday, but today it's wet and damp and heavy," Milford resident Jack Golden says.
Golden says the storm made him miss his workout Monday, but that this was an opportunity to pick up the pace.
"I'm just counting this as exercise. I'm counting it as cross-country skiing, because they don't have a snow shoveling one," he says.
