A car crashed down an embankment Sunday night and into a wooded area near the I-95 northbound Exit/Entrance 39B, sending three people to the hospital.
A Milford fire official says crews arrived on site around 10:30 p.m. to find a sedan-style vehicle that went down an embankment and deep into the woods. They had to cut down trees and brush to gain access to the car.
Two of the occupants were able to get out of the vehicle but police had to extricate the remaining occupant while providing advanced life support. He was placed in a stokes basket, removed from the wooded area and taken to a local trauma facility in serious condition.
The other two victims were transported to hospitals.
