An old-fashioned lemonade stand run by 10 Milford children from the same family has raised $1,000 for Yale Children's Hospital.

John Cotter says his grandchildren visit him every week, and that they built the lemonade stand to teach the kids how to pay it forward.

They raised the money in partnership with the Charles Island Music Festival.

The Cotter family says they have all been touched in one way or another by that hospital and wanted to do something meaningful for the medical center in return.
