The
Milford Little League Junior Girls Softball team is off to the World Series.
Already state champions, the 14 and under team beat out
Pennsylvania's state champs Tuesday and again Wednesday in Orange to qualify
for the Junior League Softball World Series in Washington next week.
Coaches
say across age divisions, Milford Little League has won almost 10 state titles
since 2018.
"It's
just an unbelievable program right now. The amount of coaches and parents and
players we have in the league, everybody's bought into working hard, competing
with each other, having fun, developing the girls, and getting the Milford
Little League program to be the best - not just in the state - but got to be
one of the best in the country,” said Brian
Corris, president of the league.
Milford's
12 and under softball team gets a chance in Bristol Thursday to qualify for the
Little League World Series.
