A Milford man is facing years in prison for the armed robbery of $3.

Police say David Newman, 45, held up the Cumberland Farms on the Post Road at knife-point early Thursday morning.

They say the clerk had $3 from a previous sale that hadn't yet been put in the register and gave it to Newman, who then ran.

Police caught up with him less than 12 hours later and arrested him.
