A week after a large brush fire destroyed dozens of acres in Milford's Beaver Brooke Nature Preserve, the city's mayor is warning residents that the preserve is dangerous and to keep away from it.
Signs and caution tape were put up, but Mayor Ben Blake says it hasn't stopped everyone. Blake says trails are closed indefinitely until the area can be assessed to make sure it's safe.
The preserve is owned by the Kingdom Life Church, and Blake says the city and church are working together to determine how to rebuild it.
