A swab taken from a Milford teen who has flu-like symptoms is being sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for swine flu testing, a local health official says.

Dr. Dennis McBride, the city's health director, says many people are being tested for swine flu because of the current outbreak. As a precaution, the health director says he's meeting with first responders daily until the threat of the virus dies down.

A local newspaper is reporting the teen is at Milford Hospital and that he does not attend a local public school.
