Storm victims in Milford are sounding off about a controversial move that erases a city position from the books.
Earlier this week, the Board of Aldermen voted to eliminate the assistant city planner from next year's budget.
Some residents say that decision will set back Milford's recovery from Sandy.
They say the decision to get rid of Emmeline Harrigan was no more than a game of politics.
Residents have started a petition and hope to get enough signatures to force city leaders to reverse their decision.
The mayor's office did not return a call for comment.
