The suspect in two Norwalk murders is back behind bars after he was mistakenly released from federal prison upon completing a prior sentence.
Anthony Rogers was found in Bridgeport after a massive manhunt over the weekend. Police say they were in contact with Rogers while he was on the run, and tried to persuade him to turn himself in.
Rogers is suspected of killing Ricky Lee Blakes in 2004 and Jamie Cubillos in 2005, both of Norwalk. He is being held in Bridgeport.
Authorities are looking into why Rogers was released from the Rhode Island prison instead of having the new charges immediately brought against him.
