Families in Monroe are participating in a friendly competition to light up the town and raise money for a local project.
Chair of the organization Dan Keene says the Christmas lights competition and fundraiser was their idea to help them reach it.
"This seemed like a great way to bring some cheer to Monroe and hopefully raise some awareness for our project," he says.
Over 40 families paid a $25 fee to be entered in the competition. Their homes are being judged by panel of volunteers and enjoyed by anyone who wants to drive by.
