Fewer southwestern Connecticut residents are expected to hit the road and take to the sky for Thanksgiving this year. Despite plummeting gas prices, AAA says the number of holiday travelers will decline by 1.5 percent across the nation. It is the first time in six years that the organization is predicting a decline for holiday travel. AAA says 41 million Americans are expected to travel at least 50 miles for the holiday and about 4.54 million will be flying.
