2ds agoCrossword puzzle mavericks descended on Stamford this weekend for the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament.
The tournament was held at the Marriott Hotel. Will Shortz, the New York Times' crossword puzzle editor, was the host.
More than 500 contestants completed puzzles and earned points for speed and accuracy. The top three scorers then solved a puzzle in front of a live audience.
This is the competition's 45th year, and the first held since 2019.
