More traffic on the roadways means more people are back to commuting to and from work.
Fran Mayko with Connecticut AAA says traffic is probably not 100% where it was pre-pandemic, but it sure is rising.
Mayko says most companies are allowing workers to have the flexibility to keep a hybrid schedule. Two days home, three days in the office.
Caleb Silver with Investopedia says when reviewing the volume of keycard swipes at businesses, there is a visible slight increase in traffic from the end of the summer until now at 43.8%
Mayko says since there aren't as many people on the road since 2020, and with gas prices fluctuating, at least some people are saving at the pump by working remotely.
