More traffic in Connecticut means more people are returning to work, experts say
More traffic on the roadways means more people are back to commuting to and from work.
Fran Mayko with Connecticut AAA says traffic is probably not 100% where it was pre-pandemic, but it sure is rising.
Mayko says most companies are allowing workers to have the flexibility to keep a hybrid schedule. Two days home, three days in the office.
Caleb Silver with Investopedia says when reviewing the volume of keycard swipes at businesses, there is a visible slight increase in traffic from the end of the summer until now at 43.8%
Mayko says since there aren't as many people on the road since 2020, and with gas prices fluctuating, at least some people are saving at the pump by working remotely.
