Police say a mother has been hospitalized after being attacked by a pit bull in Stamford.Investigators say the incident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Sheridan Street.Witnesses say the woman was walking with her two children when the pit bull went after the child in the stroller. According to police, the mother went in front of the stroller to protect her child.Police say the mother received multiple bites on her arm before a man pulled the dog off of her.Authorities say the dog had no tags on it and no collar. Officials at Animal Control say they hope the owner will come forward.
