A Bronx mother is claiming that a teacher's aide at Rosalyn Yalow Charter School forced her son to undress at school.
Laquana Chisolm says the aide dragged her son out of a classroom Friday and into the school's basement, where he was locked in a closet. She says the aide demanded that her son strip off his clothes, and even struck him with a sword-like object when he refused.
Police have not confirmed the incident.
Chisolm claims the teacher's aide has been reassigned, but she wants him fired. She says her son won't be coming back to class and that she is looking at legal action.
The school released a statement saying in part, "The employee has been placed on administrative leave until the investigation is completed. If the investigation results in a finding that a school employee committed misconduct, appropriate corrective action will be taken immediately."
