Road conditions throughout western Connecticut were unfavorable Wednesday afternoon after morning snow showers.
News 12 Connecticut's Jen McPadden traveled through Norwalk and says the roads were icy and slick.
McPadden says the worst road conditions were north of the Merritt Parkway, closer to I-84 and into Litchfield County.
Temperatures were hovering around the freezing mark, but sporadic ponding along roadways made for the possibility of hydroplaning.
Residents were urged to use caution while driving at night as temperatures drop.
