Despite a recent fire that burned through the Bronx Islamic Cultural Center, many Muslims poured into the streets of Morrisania to celebrate the official end of Ramadan Sunday.
Two days before the end of a month of fasting and reflection, flames tore through the Bronx Islamic Cultural Center overnight Friday. Almost 1,000 Muslims came out to 166th Street to pray and celebrate despite their recent tragedy.
The Islamic Cultural Center will be temporarily located in a venue down the street.
