Parents and community members in Norwalk are speaking out this evening after a local anti-poverty organization announced the resignation of its CEO. The Norwalk Economic Opportunity Board says that CEO and President Joseph Mann will step down, but will continue to be paid until a new CEO is elected. Several NEON volunteers say they are furious that Mann will still receive a paycheck. The Department of Social Services has chosen Patricia Wilson to be NEON's interim chief. Mann's resignation comes after an audit found he mismanaged $400,000 of NEON's funds.
