The Neon
Race for Literacy Volunteers of Southern Connecticut returned Saturday in
Milford after it was canceled in 2020 because of the pandemic.
Over 100
people signed up this year to run the 5K and raise money for the nonprofit,
which provides services for free to anyone who wants to learn English and
improve their skills.
The organization says events like the Neon Race
greatly impact their programing.
Many racers told News 12 it was the perfect weather for a race.
This is the first year the Neon Race has been certified.
