More breweries are popping up across Connecticut, even during this tough time for small businesses.

Dockside Brewery is Milford's newest craft beer attraction.

The owners of Dockside Brewing say they never expected their grand opening to be for pickup only, but they say they've managed to survive, and even thrive, in these first few weeks.

Owner Bob Chicoine says since opening just over a month ago, he's been blown away by the support the Milford community has shown Dockside.
The brewery has been offering curbside pick-up for freshly brewed beer and thin crust pizza.
Brewmaster Andy Schwartz has been making beer all over the country for 25 years.
He says with no canning line and no plan for distribution, pivoting to this new model has been a completely new challenge even for him.

You can place an order for curbside pickup at Dockside's website.

Newtown is also getting a new brewery during the pandemic. Newsylum Brewing Co. on Keating Farms Avenue is open for curbside pickup as well.
