New Canaan police are investigating if a longtime high school rivalry may have crossed the line into vandalism in the town.
Police sent News 12 a picture of the graffiti that was left on a fence where signs for high school sports games are usually posted. It shows the numbers four and one painted in blue.
Those numbers were the final score in a hockey game between New Canaan and the "blue" wave of Darien.
Darien's superintendent's office says it's cooperating with the investigation.
