The New Canaan community is mourning the loss of a 13-year-old boy who died during his family vacation in Canada. Canadian news reports say John Leslie was killed after being hit in the head with a baseball.

The New Canaan community is mourning the loss of a 13-year-old boy who died during his family vacation in Canada.
Canadian news reports say John Leslie was killed after being hit in the head with a baseball. Leslie was reportedly playing ball in a Prince Edward Island park with friends.
Leslie was to enter the eighth-grade at Saxe Middle School in the fall.
A funeral service will be held for Leslie in Canada Wednesday. A memorial service will be held in Connecticut at a later date.
