On top of former state Rep. Michael DiMassa's 27-month prison sentence for stealing COVID relief funds, a new court filing says DiMassa has to pay at least $40,000 per year to the city of West Haven.

That payment would be for each year of his supervised release.

Wednesday's court filing says DiMassa owes $865,000 in stolen COVID relief funds.

Authorities have said DiMassa was a West Haven city employee when he stole the money.

DiMassa's sentence is scheduled to begin next Thursday.
