Madeline Casey is sentenced to seven days in jail for walking on delicate thermal features in Yellowstone National Park.
On July 22, people snapped pictures and videos of Casey stepping off the boardwalk and into the Norris Geyser Basin.
There are signs posted against that.
In addition to jail time, Casey was fined $1,000, ordered to make a $1,000 community service payment and is banned from the park for two years.
