Fire officials reopened New Haven Avenue in Milford to drivers after a bus leaked oil on Saturday night.
Officials say the leak does not appear to have caused any harm to the environment, but they covered the road with sand to keep drivers from slipping.
Milford Fire Department Battalion Chief Russell Chap says the road will remain slick for the next few days, and could be more dangerous if it rains, so drivers should exercise caution.
Officials say a mechanical failure caused the leak.
