A New Haven man has been arrested for stealing mail and cashing forged checks.
Police say that Kenyel Alexis Ventura-Villa, 23, is accused of stealing checks in 2022, forging them and then depositing them into an account that belonged to another person, who was arrested last year.
Ventura-Villa has been charged with second-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit identity theft in the first degree.
