The body of the second person who fell into the Housatonic River on Wednesday was found Saturday afternoon, according to New Milford Mayor Pete Bass.

“Please keep your thoughts and prayers for those that passed and their families,” he said in part on his Facebook page. He also thanked local authorities who aided in the search.

On Friday, search teams found the first of the two men who went missing in the river while fishing.

Teams had been searching for the two fishermen since Wednesday night after they went into the water near Bleachery Dam.
