The city of Stamford unveiled a new mural on the bridge at Cove Island Park on Tuesday.
Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons was on hand to celebrate the completion of the project to bring some new beauty to the city.
Volunteers from the Senior Center helped create the mural on the bridge, with the design, including flowing water and small flowers.
"The bridge could not only be painted,” said Laurie Newkirk, the creator of the project. “It could say be kind to yourself and others.”
The project was funded by Stamford's Neighborhood Community Grant.
