A new procedure is said to be a nonsurgical alternative to a facelift.

A Stamford dermatologist says it uses a hand-held device to remove thousands of "tissue cores" of skin from the face using a process called "micro-coring".

The treatment is approved for the lower face and could eventually be used on other parts of the body.
