Newtown police arrested 60-year-old Vincenzo Ciocca of Shelton after he was reportedly intoxicated, exposing himself, and waving a gun around at a gas pump.
The incident occurred on Tuesday just before 5 p.m. on Route 302.
Police report that Ciocca was also threatening employees with multiple handguns.
He fled the scene toward Bethel but was apprehended by police shortly thereafter.
Ciocca is scheduled to appear in court today.
