The director of Newtown Public Works says that the town is prepared for whatever Wednesday's storm is ready to throw at them.
Fred Hurley says Newtown has 2,500 tons of salt and thousands of yards of sand to get the area through the winter.
He says the pandemic has already taken school traffic off the roads, which makes the job a little less complicated for his plow drivers.
Hurley says it's going to be a long night and day for everyone at Public Works.
He says that we're lucky that the storm is coming after all the leaves are off the trees, as when leaves are wet and frozen they can increase the odds of a power outage.
