There was no medal for Team USA and a Fairfield native in the short track women's 3,000-meter relay
The American team was penalized for a lane change obstruction.
When Fairfield's Kristen Santos was getting the push off from her teammate in the relay, she cut across Team Italy. That led to the penalty.
Santos fell after that lane change obstruction.
The Netherlands took the gold in the event, followed by South Korea earning silver and China winning the bronze.
