Local communities are working together to help animals that were affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles.
Norwalk-based dog food company, Get Joy, donated over 1,000 lbs. of food to the animals in need.
"These dogs are just doing everything they can to survive in many cases, and now the ones that have been displaced from their families are hopefully being pulled into shelters,” said Get Joy owner Tom Arrix. “Just that journey alone is stressful. If we can just play any kind of role...and just bring some goodness to their stressful lives over the last week."
Arrix says donations will be distributed to multiple nonprofits in California.
