A local school bus company said today it has reassigned a driver in Norwalk to another route after he allegedly told a third-grader that Santa Claus isn't real.
The father of the girl, who attends Columbus Magnet School in Norwalk, says he filed a complaint last week after the driver also allegedly said Jesus Christ was not born on Christmas.
A spokesperson for the First Student bus company says the driver's comments are being misrepresented, and that the girl overheard a conversation he was having with another student about how there's more to the holidays than gift-giving.
