A church in Norwalk rang in the New Year by letting go of the negatives from 2017.

St. Paul's on the Green held a special gathering Sunday night. During a service of prayers, reflection and music, parishioners were asked to let go of their negativity and to focus on the positive in 2018.

Church officials say the ceremony was a great way to start the year off right.

Parishioners wrote down what they wished to put behind them and as they left they placed their notes into a burning bowl.
