First responders prepared Thursday for potentially icy conditions that could make for some dangerous roads.
The Norwalk Fire Department told News 12 it monitored the weather and if needed, put chain links on tires, which will help with traction on the ice.
Deputy Chief Edward Prescott says the biggest problem areas in the city are bridges - which will freeze before the roadways.
He also says be careful with downed trees and wires and to avoid them. If you do have to go out, it is recommended that you keep a lot of distance between the car in front of you.
