A local community organization says it's looking for young people who want to help others, and themselves, succeed.
The head of Fairfield County's Community Foundation in Norwalk says they're looking for 15 youth ambassadors for a new program aimed at helping residents between the ages of 16 and 24 advance in their careers.
Organizers say the ambassadors would help their peers navigate employment and enact change that will help the entire community.
They want to teach them about civic engagement and youth advocacy, so that they can become more aware of some of the challenges and policies that are affecting them and preventing them from being successful.
Organizers say the youth ambassador program is part of the Fairfield County's Community Foundation's Thrive by 25 initiative.
The application deadline is tomorrow.
