A fire broke out of a Norwalk home Wednesday morning, and a group of firefighters were praised for their work putting out the flames.
It took just 25 minutes for crews to knock down a fully engulfed fire on the second floor of a home on Chestnut Hill Road.
Everyone was already outside the house when firefighters arrived, and no one was injured.
"The firefighters did an excellent job, instantly went to work as soon as they got on scene. If it wasn't for their heroic effort, I'm sure this would have been much worse," said Deputy Fire Chief Michael McCallum.
The home had heavy fire and smoke damage.
The fire started in a finished attic area, and the cause is under investigation.
