Norwalk house raised to prevent flood damage
It was house raising day for a Norwalk couple looking to steer clear of any flood damage from future storms. Kathy Olsen and Joe Muro bought the home at 30 Shorefront Park a month and a half ago.

It was house raising day for a Norwalk couple looking to steer clear of any flood damage from future storms.
Kathy Olsen and Joe Muro bought the home at 30 Shorefront Park a month and a half ago.
They say it was a foot and a half below the standards set by FEMA.
They hired Wolfe House Movers to lift the home five feet to play it safe.
They say the house was built in the 30s and it took just over a week for crews to prepare to lift the whole structure.
