Norwalk's mayor says contact tracing is underway amid a bump in COVID-19 cases.
A total of 28 were reported Sunday, and 10 more were reported Monday.
Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling says that so far there is no single factor he can point to - although there is a trend toward younger people testing positive.
Mayor Rilling tells News 12 that colder weather is a concern because people may be tempted to gather indoors.
He says there are plans being considered to add heating to some of the outdoor dining areas in SoNo so people can continue eating outside.
Rilling adds that so far, contact tracing shows cases are spreading within families or small groups of people who socialize frequently - so testing is a priority to prevent the numbers from climbing higher.
He says that while there are a number of cases in schools, they have been relatively isolated so far.
