21h agoThe Norwalk Police Department is holding a family-friendly event tonight night aimed at connecting law enforcement officers with the community.
'Norwalk Night Out' will take place at Police Headquarters at 1 Monroe Street from 5 to 8 p.m.
Police say there will be food, games, music, a fun-zone and a number of other activities.
'Norwalk Night Out' is similar to National Night Out events, which typically take place across the country in August.
National Night Out began in the 1980s to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie in an effort to prevent crime.
