Authorities are renewing calls for help from the public in locating 72-year-old Earl Sebastian, who has been missing for over a week.
"He's literally a routine kind of person," granddaughter Felicia Williams says. "It's like he just walked out the door and vanished."
Sebastian was last seen Sept. 9 at a Grandview Avenue residence.
He is described as 6 feet, 1 inch tall and approximately 180 pounds, with no known medical issues.
Police say Sebastian typically uses public transportation, specifically buses.
"We are doing everything we can," Norwalk Police Chief James Walsh says. "Our investigation will continue until we bring Mr. Sebastian home."
Family says the 72-year-old didn't own a cellphone or have any credit cards, but police did search a laptop he frequently used to communicate.
"We're seeing what he searched," Chief Walsh says. "Possibly, if he had gone somewhere to make sure he hadn't made plans."
Authorities say they've interviewed local bus drivers, scoured security footage from bus stations, and have pushed messages out to the MTA and bus stations along the East Coast.
Anyone with information on Sebastian's whereabouts is asked to contact the Norwalk Police Department at 203-854-3000.
