Norwalk police are looking for leads in the death of a baby in 1974.
Police say a boy found a suitcase while walking home from school on Wilson Avenue near Ely Avenue and brought it home.
They say inside was the body of a baby girl that was only a day old. According to police, the baby died from blunt force trauma to her head. Police say she weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces and still had her umbilical cord attached.
There isn't much known information about Baby Jane Doe, but several eyewitness accounts have linked the case to a Hispanic woman who was in her 20s.
Officials are hoping pictures of the brick-red suitcase with white trim will spark new leads. They are asking anyone with information to contact them.
Officers say they will be releasing information about a cold case every Monday.
