Puppy Bowl XVI kicks off before the Super Bowl this Sunday with rescued puppies from all over the country.
A Connecticut puppy, Sadie, is taking the field as one of this year's puppy athletes.
Sadie's owner Elisa says Sadie first came to PAWS Norwalk after her mother, Chanilla, was found abandoned under a railroad trestle with her 10 newborn puppies. Sadie was the runt of the litter.
Seven weeks later, Animal Planet called to invite her to play in the big game.
Elisa says Sadie's natural athletic talents came out on game day.
The Puppy Bowl airs at 3 p.m. on Sunday on Animal Planet.
