A rebuilt Norwalk salon cut its ribbon Friday only months after a devastating fire turned it to ashes.
The August fire destroyed everything but the tile at Lila's Beauty Salon on Belden Avenue. Mayor Dick Moccia applauded the salon's owners at the ceremony for fixing the charred building in record time.
"That's what's going to keep us going," says Moccia. "Small businesses coming back, continuing to rebuild."
The salon will officially resume taking clients Oct. 31.
