Nearly nine months after a fire ripped through a Norwalk strip mall, the stores will reopen this weekend.
Stores at 390 Westport Ave. are holding a grand reopening Saturday in hopes they'll generate some buzz that they're back in business.
Elegance Cleaners rebuilt and reopened in May, but they say only 60 percent of their customers have returned. Owners of Kasmir Indian Kitchen, in business for 14 years, say they?re hoping their old customers will realize they?re back and come in for some homemade cheese and vegetable samosa.
The grand reopening runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Elegance Cleaners will hand out discounts coupons and Kashmir Indian Kitchen will have free food samples.
