A Norwalk Transit District employee is behind bars and charged with a months-long embezzlement scheme costing the city $20,000.

According to police, Otis Weeks, 39, manipulated the payroll, created fake paychecks and forged the names of his co-workers before cashing those checks.

Weeks allegedly got away with $20,000 in just about six months.
